Job Description: As a senior member of the team, the Director of Marketing is responsible for the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives to meet company goals. This role includes creating and implementing the strategic marketing plan, overseeing the production of essential collateral, and fostering collaborative partnerships with other facilities and external partners. Additionally, the Director plays a key role in promoting and safeguarding the company's reputation by partnering closely with the Communications and Public Relations team. Together, they develop media relations and social strategies that support brand growth, corporate promotions, innovation initiatives, and both internal and external communications. Platforms may include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok, among others, in collaboration with the Operations team.

The Director provides critical leadership and organizational direction to effectively manage and inspire the marketing team to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Revenue Growth: Develop strategic marketing plans to drive ticket sales and increase revenue across all locations. Identify target market segments and tailor strategies to maximize brand impact and sales. Brand Development & Management: Strengthen and promote branding initiatives aligned with corporate goals. Oversee brand management to ensure consistency in all products, services, and communications, and explore additional revenue opportunities. Collaborative Advertising & Promotions: Work closely with department heads, particularly the Operations team, to plan and execute advertising and promotional activities. Support general managers and team members with tools to drive sales in their respective areas. Tactical Execution & Collateral Production: Develop and implement tactical marketing plans to support sales goals. Collaborate with creative staff (designers, writers, editors) to produce marketing collateral aligned with brand messaging. Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities and assess market trends. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance marketing strategies and identify new opportunities. Public Relations & Media Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Communications and Public Relations teams to develop media kits, press releases, and other materials that support brand and corporate initiatives. Collaborate to identify story pitching opportunities and build media relationships. Social Media Strategy & Evaluation: Oversee the Social Media team to execute social media that drives revenue in our field operations primarily and provide brand enhancement secondarily. Getting Ripley's Believe It or Not! World Entertainment noticed and relevant in an increasingly cluttered online space is paramount and will be a central job function. Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare regular reports on marketing initiatives for Senior Management. Stay informed on industry trends, attend trade shows, and integrate relevant findings into marketing strategies. Team Development: Recruit, hire, and train marketing staff to ensure a highly skilled and motivated team capable of delivering on corporate objectives. Special Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background & Experience: Degree in Marketing, Business, Tourism, or a related field is a nice addition but not required. Minimum 7-10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a management role. Ripley's prefers experience in hospitality over educational degrees. Preference given to those with field experience selling tickets and onsite management. Brand Management & Marketing Expertise: Strong knowledge of brand building and brand management, with proven experience in creatively developing marketing materials and collateral. Project Management & Organizational Skills: Highly effective at project management, prioritization, and multitasking. Able to manage multiple projects within strict deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities. Communication & Content Development: Excellent writing, content development, and editing skills, with superb verbal and written communication abilities. Articulate, friendly, and outgoing. Interpersonal & Leadership Skills: Diplomatic, with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Adaptability & Flexibility: Team-oriented and flexible, able to adjust to shifting priorities and tight turnaround times. Availability & Travel: Willingness and ability to travel is a necessity. Additionally , as part of our onboarding process, you will be required to complete a comprehensive job rotation program through various roles within our attractions. This will involve directly interacting with our Guests to gain a comprehensive understanding or our operations and gain valuable insight into our Guest's needs and expectations.
