This position is for a short term contract On-Site Audio Visual Technician to join our Team in Chicago, IL.
Position Overview
TRITECH On-Site Audio Visual Technicians are responsible for providing onsite service support to end-users and Stakeholders. Candidates must have experience setting up and basic break/fix of professional audio visual systems. This position requires strong audio visual knowledge of control systems, digital signal processors, video displays/video walls and wireless microphone systems. Experience of strong customer service skills are required.
Day to day on-site AV & Video conferencing production & operations AV/Technical knowledge of current conference room and event technology (Crestron, Digital Signal Processors, etc.) Preventative maintenance room sweeps/checks each day when not supporting end users. Operate and troubleshoot Microsoft Surface Hubs. Manage Microsoft Teams meetings upon request. Ability to perform AV maintenance (replacing bad HDMI cables, dongles, etc.) On-Site Services include regular and consistent coordination and follow up with Office Services and Communications Department and/or individual clients with regards to all scheduled meeting requests Work with vendors and other internal IT teams to escalate and resolve issues. Define best practices for supporting conference rooms that can be used globally across all offices End user presentation support and maintenance support Ensure all equipment is shut down and in cases where portables are involved secured for next business day. Testing of each individual piece of equipment ensure equipment is set to factory specifications to obtain optimum performance report system problems immediately including solutions and/or recommendations. Review schedules for next day requests to ensure equipment is operational. Connect video conference calls as needed. Ensure video or PC is properly displayed, IT video encoding and transcoding and manage content servers and LED Video Walls. Maintain inventory of A/V consumables for fixed and portable equipment. Replace A/V consumables, as necessary.
