The Senior Graphic Designer is a full-time position supporting the internal creative team at OC Sports and Entertainment. The Senior Graphic Designer creates bold and functional designs and creative work that primarily focuses on the Anaheim Ducks but will also support initiatives across OCSE, including Honda Center and OCVIBE. This role brings different initiatives to life across marketing channels and owned touchpoints.
Responsibilities Concept and develop creative materials primarily for the Anaheim Ducks but also for the other entities under OCSE as needed Conceive and design projects including but not limited to logos, environmental graphics, billboards, season tickets, online graphics, flyers, posters, newspaper ads, monthly and quarterly newsletters, presentation decks, social media templates, website graphics, and other graphic deliverables Ensure that brand consistency is applied to all collateral and creative materials to maintain brand integrity Maintain a high level of creative standards and help mentor junior designers and freelancers to meet those standards and production requirements Participate in kick-offs, creative reviews, and other stakeholder meetings to ensure business goals are understood and met from a creative standpoint Maintain a backup archive of all creative for Honda Center and Anaheim Ducks stored in an orderly fashion to be easily accessed Coordinate the localization of pre-approved art for Honda Center and other venue events produced by outside promoters Help with project prioritization to ensure deadlines are met Deliver and present work to key stakeholders Help generate comps and layouts to help with the approvals process Skills
Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience 5-7 years of related work experience Sports experience is a plus, although not necessary Knowledge of Figma is a plus, although not necessary Excellent Verbal and written communication skills Relentless attention to detail and craft Strong organizational skills Expert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite for print and web Strong graphic design skills, firm understanding of production standards for print-ready materials and digital graphics Strong creative and conceptual skills, ability to graphically execute projects from start to finish Strong cross-channel experience, including print, environmental, digital, social, broadcast, and merchandising Able to keep up with industry trends Able to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment with multiple teams and "clients" Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while keeping projects on track - meeting deadlines and business goals
