CareDx is looking for an experienced Senior Director Brand Marketing. Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing, the Senior Director will be responsible for leading the brand strategy across a portfolio of solid organ (heart, kidney, etc) diagnostic tools and digital solutions, portfolio architecture and marketing initiatives, to enhance the visibility and reputation of the company's offerings in the transplant market and drive growth and market adoption. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of HCP and/or health systems marketing, brand management, and the ability to drive growth through innovative marketing strategies. You will lead strategic planning and development of key marketing pillars such as brand story, positioning, segmentation, creative development, and messaging. You will also spearhead all aspects of customer facing marketing initiatives from strategic development of go-to-market to execution, including field team communication.
The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to achieve financial objectives. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to drive business results in a compelling, effective, and timely way. Responsibilities :
Brand Strategy & Marketing Plan Development: Create and implement comprehensive brand strategies in the context of annual marketing plan development and execution that align with business objectives and resonate with HCP audiences. KOL Advocacy and Engagement: Identify and cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to advocate for the brand, leveraging their influence to enhance credibility and drive adoption among physicians. Speaker Bureau Management: Oversee the strategy and messaging within our speaker bureau to best guide efforts on the team. Unique Messaging Development: Craft compelling and differentiated messaging that addresses the specific needs and challenges faced by transplant clinicians and care coordinators, ensuring alignment with clinical data and patient outcomes. Marketing Campaign Management: Oversee the development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns aimed at healthcare professionals, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and goals. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; utilize data analytics to inform strategic decisions. Agency Management: Build strong agency partnerships and maximize the value in the relationship, also driving strong budget stewardship. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with product development, sales, and external agencies to ensure cohesive brand messaging and effective marketing execution. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives; analyze campaign and program performance and report findings to senior leadership. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including KOLs, Product, Digital, Sales, Medical Affairs and external partners. Lead, inspire and develop a team of Marketing Managers to become a high-performance brand team and oversight for field-based organization calling on practices Conferences and Events: Ensure strong brand strategy, cohesive messaging and measure effectiveness of meeting efforts, delivering strong budget stewardship with the events team. Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 12+ years overall experience with minimum of 8 years (10+ preferred) in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting with exposure to multiple areas of the industry (e.g., diagnostic testing, drug development and/or commercialization) Strong strategic thinking, collaboration, facilitation, and problem-solving skills Demonstrates strong cross functional influence and leading without authority Must have positive attitude, strong written and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives. Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Demonstrated people leadership and ability to motivate, inspire and develop a high performing team Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills, including the ability to lead and persuade without authority Possess strong analytical and strategic skills to critically evaluate input and drive organizational alignment. Ability to succeed in a rapidly changing, agile environment where continuous innovation is requisite to success. Flexible to work in a smaller company environment where everyone wears multiple hats and gets the job done. A builder and doer that approaches work with a great sense of urgency and strong bias for action and is able to influence and inspire others to do the same Results-oriented - takes ownership and is responsible.
