The Senior Director of Marketing will manage the day-to-day of the Marketing department, help develop new go-to-market brand strategies against business initiatives and marketplace trends, help execute and oversee public relations and internal communications and facilitate the development of advertising campaigns and other brand-building initiatives. Additional responsibility of selecting and managing external marketing partners that are delivering key strategic activities. The Senior Director of Marketing ensures that all programs align and are on brand through the development, integration, and implementation of clear and initiative-taking marketing programs/plans that support the company's business objectives and deliver measurable results. BE THE ISLAND GUIDE Strategic planning, budget management and ROI Align and drive all marketing programs designed to attract customers and drive customer growth, loyalty, and retention to TommyBahama.com, retail stores, restaurants, and resorts. Identify market opportunities and drive strategies to capture market share and enhance competitive positioning. Oversee the strategic development and continuous refinement of audiences and customer journeys with a cross functional team including eCommerce, Brand Content, Creative, Retail, Restaurant and Resort. Track and analyze sales data and marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness of campaigns, making data-driven decisions to optimize strategies. Analyze performance of all programs to ensure ROI goals and sales targets are met. Direct programs including media buying, loyalty, direct mail, public relations, paid digital and point of sale. Plan and allocate marketing budgets effectively, monitoring expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to financial plans. Leadership, cross team collaboration, and strategic partnerships Work closely with the channel leaders to ensure marketing strategies are consistently executed through all digital and traditional marketing channels to drive digital, retail, restaurant, licensing, and resort lines of business. Create annual marketing plans and seasonal marketing deliverables in close partnership with key stakeholders across the company. Design and execute marketing & public relations initiatives with outside agencies. Provide leadership, inspiration, and guidance in attracting, hiring, contracting, coaching, retaining, and motivating a world-class marketing team. Model and promote a company-first, collaborative, and communicative culture that reflects Tommy Bahama's values, encourages superior performance, and rewards productivity. Build Brand Contribute to developing brand-building strategies and programs (brand, positioning, identity, messaging, partnerships, etc.). Voice of the customer Perform market research and summarize regular consumer tracking studies as well as ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative consumer market research that identifies white-space opportunities. Innovation and Technologies Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies. Leverage advanced marketing technologies such as CRM, marketing automation, and AI to optimize campaign effectiveness. ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field Generally, 10+ years' experience in Marketing or related field preferably with a national vertical retailer. 5+ years of Performance Marketing experience. 5+ years of Loyalty Marketing experience 5+ years of experience working with CRM data tools and Marketing Technologies Superior qualitative and quantitative analytical capabilities, with an outstanding body of work demonstrating high quality, innovative deliverables, and an exceptional understanding of consumer behavior. Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and set priorities for a team of managers and individual contributors. Demonstrated ability to manage the creative and messaging process. Ability to manage and lead large cross functional teams as well as direct report relationships. Strategic thinking combined with strict attention to tactical details and execution. A keen knowledge of innovative direct marketing techniques and approaches using industry best practices, including emerging channels like social media and mobile. Excellent written and oral communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills. Includes ability to write copy. Ability to exercise independent judgment in making decisions. Ability to solve problems and to keep internal partners informed and to ensure partners are prepared for marketing initiatives. Strong leadership skills. Monitor ongoing campaign spend against budget and keep accurate records highlighting variances and making recommendations for adjustments. Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual's experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
