Ledgent Technology is collaborating with a key local client to find a sharp Technical Writer to add to the team!

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for developing technical documentation for our client's products, with a focus on user manuals, service literature, operator manuals, and installation guides.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct research, generate, and revise content for global technical documentation, including manuals, service documents, user guides, and other technical resources. Design and organize complex documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility. Develop visual elements for technical documents when necessary. Collaborate with technical teams across various departments to ensure precise depiction of complex data, diagrams, and specifications. Facilitate the review and approval process for technical content and terminology. Partner with the technical team to identify opportunities for improving and automating workflows, particularly in the digitization of documentation. Uphold consistent corporate identity and design standards on a global scale. Support updates to technical content on the company's website and assist with maintaining other digital resources. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in creating technical documentation, including technical writing and illustration. Strong mechanical and technical understanding is essential. Familiarity with electronics, hydraulics, programmable controllers, and engineering schematics is required. Expertise in editing, proofreading, and ensuring document accuracy. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of website integration, databases, and automation tools is a plus. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) is preferred. Familiarity with SolidEdge or other similar CAD software is desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proactive, collaborative approach. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A keen eye for detail and solid problem-solving skills.
