Note-Role is 20-40hrs/week depending on project workload. This will vary based on when new hardware is available. Example, the role could be 40 hours per week for a number of months, but then when revisions come through the schedule could shift and only 20 hours of work could be available.
Job summary The RF Hardware team is responsible for wireless hardware development for silicon platforms and products. We are looking for a talented individual to join our team on a contract basis to measure and characterize
cellular radio hardware
designs across Client’s entire product line.
Key qualifications Associates degree or higher in electronics, or
3-5 years
of experience in hands on
RF test and measurement. Experience in
RF test and measurement methodology
and equipment in the
600MHz to 6GHz frequency
range. Experience
with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers , cellular call boxes, load pull tuners, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies. Experience running long characterization efforts on
RF components
or systems using fully automated test setups. Scripting and script debug experience is a plus ( Python, Matlab , etc.). Experience with data analysis tools is a plus ( Tableau, Excel, Matlab , etc.). Basic familiarity with reading schematics and reviewing PCB layouts is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Responsibilities Build out rack based RF test setups capable of running fully automated hardware characterization test campaigns. Ensure test setups are fully calibrated and running at maximum efficiency at all times. Work with lab management on test equipment maintenance. Run test setup automation tools to collect parametric data on cellular hardware designs. Collect measurement data from the test stations and provide it to design engineers for review. Assist design engineers with data processing and visualization. Collaborate with rework technicians to have hardware reworked with new component revisions for characterization. Collaborate with test automation engineers to debug test script/station issues, and to ensure rack equipment and test software is up to date.
