Design Assistant/Product Development Costing Tech

Who We Are: We are a Los Angeles-based Fashion Company specializing in Women's, Juniors, and girls' apparel. We service multi-channels of distribution in retail partnerships with department stores and specialty chains throughout the country.

JOB DESCRIPTION- Design Assistant/Product Development Costing Tech: Ensure execution of all samples for collections and sales meetings. Working with CAD/3D artists, pattern makers, and sales reps to service all store accounts and address special projects. Compiling pre-costing information for pre-production tech packs. Responsible for uploading and completing all garment BOM’s (i.e., trim, fabric, send-outs, pattern card, etc.) in Centric for all styles developed in-house and overseas development. Manage fabric inventory and library/ coordinating fabric counter sourcing for costing Responsible for maintaining all line sheets, fabric, and cutting ticket books. Manage send-outs writing Pos, following up on orders sent out to vendors. Compile and pass all standards/qualities to Product Development Techs for order hand-off meetings. Proficient in sketching Photo/tagging line Assist in passing styles for costing - based on staffing in dept. Create/Generate tech packs for overseas development. Assist with follow-up on OD styles. Help with concept board and Canva projects Preparing and sending swatch projects to customers Creating shipping labels and boxing samples for send out All other duties may be assigned by your immediate manager.

Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years working with tech packages Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience preferred. Must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated team player. Have excellent communication skills/follow-up ability as well as a strong sense of urgency. Knowledge of Tech Packs Knowledge of fabric/trim and garment construction is a must. Ability to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities. Ability to problem solve and communicate any issues to the team. Computer literate, proficient in Excel and Outlook, knowledge of the Centric, Spark, and /or A2000 system is a plus.
