Curriculum Designer
for our Atlanta, HQ!
This role will take place in Atlanta, Ga (near Perimeter Mall) and operate on a hybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs in office).
Job Overview:
Designs and develops training programs, curriculum, methods, and materials for various audiences, including employees, managers, customers, or other learners. Conducts skill assessments and collects input to identify training or development needs, goals, gaps, and requirements. Consults with subject matter experts to define learning objectives and to design appropriate course content and training curriculum. Develops curricula supporting defined competency models or skill frameworks. Writes and edits outlines, syllabus, lecture notes, and materials for in-person or e-learning courses and self-study programs. Evaluates the software or collaboration tools to be selected for training. Establishes metrics to use to evaluate training effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
• Applies principles of Adult Learning Theory to content design • Partners closely with the learning team to create full cycle training • Coaches' trainers or trains new instructors as needed • Prepares clear and intentional learning objectives • Estimate scope and resource requirements for training requests • Consults SMEs and stakeholders in the content build phase • Ability to support multiple projects at one time • Assists with content/material updates based on team needs and bandwidth • Assists with LMS-related needs and requests • Provides recommendations for new designs or processes
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in education or education related field preferred o Experience or Certification in training, content management, curriculum, or instructional design o Demonstrate use and understanding of ADDIE design methodology o Ability to support multiple training projects o Ability to provide material for virtual or classroom led training o Familiarity with training software o Ability to assess training need
