AG Jeans is seeking an experienced Men’s Designer ready to create standout collections and thrive within a creative environment. This position requires design experience with denim and reports to the Men’s Design Director.
Responsibilities: Design men’s seasonal collections and capsules. Perform competitive market research. Help create trend overviews for each season showcasing silhouette, fabric, trims, print and color. Create and maintain seasonal tracking charts and line sheets. Source and develop fabric & trim with vendors. Issue, track and receive raw material sample PO's. Set up styles in product lifecycle management software. Issue and track sample cut tickets. Work directly with the Pattern, Sample, R & D, Dye and Production Departments. Oversee product development, fittings and line presentations. Pass-off seasonal collections and capsules to the Production Department Meet product development milestones and calendar due dates.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design 2-5 years denim design experience Exceptional attention to detail and follow through Understanding of garment construction, fit and denim wet and dry processes Insight into customer needs and market trends with the ability to apply to core and fashion product Experience working alongside and leading a design team Clear and effective written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills Ability to handle multiple projects, partner with multiple departments & perform in a fast-paced team environment
