The KYDA Partners team is searching for a Scientific Communications Manager to join the Medical Affairs team and help bridge the gap between science and strategic business goals. This pivotal role will support the development and communication of clear, impactful scientific messaging, ensuring that products and innovations are represented with accuracy, clarity, and integrity. Key Responsibilities: Develop Strategic Messaging:
Use scientific and clinical expertise to evaluate literature, shape messaging, and create clear, data-driven communications that showcase our cutting-edge aesthetic products. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert:
Act as a technical expert in plastic surgery and medical aesthetics, effectively addressing medical information requests from internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate Across Functions:
Partner with departments like R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Clinical, and Legal to support business needs and maintain cohesive messaging across teams. Research & Content Development:
Stay up-to-date on plastic surgery literature, product trends, and competitive landscapes to enhance our product offerings continuously. Identify and Close Knowledge Gaps:
Recognize and address gaps in the literature with strategic publication plans that advance business goals and clinical understanding. Educational Engagements:
Develop content for and deliver impactful presentations at physician educational events, ensuring stakeholders have the latest scientific insights. Foster Industry Relationships:
Build partnerships with key opinion leaders and professional societies through research collaborations, educational initiatives, and advocacy. Contribute to New Product Development:
Participate in New Product Development Teams, analyzing potential new products and strategic partnerships while providing scientific insights to support growth.
Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or medical discipline; an advanced degree is strongly preferred. At least 5+ years of experience in medical affairs, clinical roles, or medical writing in the medical device industry or a related field, with a record of communicating complex scientific information.
Desirable Additional Experience: Aesthetics Industry Knowledge:
Direct experience in the aesthetics field, especially with medical devices or clinical trials. FDA and Regulatory Expertise:
Strong familiarity with FDA regulations and experience in medical device submissions to ensure compliance. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Experience managing cross-functional teams and working with marketing departments to translate scientific information for non-technical audiences. Project Management Skills:
Proven ability to coordinate large-scale scientific communication efforts across regions or teams to ensure consistency and impact.
