Studio Warehouse Production Assistant / Merchandise Coordinator

Summary of Role: Serena & Lily is seeking experienced freelance Production Assistants/Merchandise Coordinators to assist on commercial photography sets, in studio and on location, as well as to maintain orderliness within our large warehouse of photo samples. The work requires lots of heavy lifting, setting up and breaking down sets, moving product on and off set, assembling furniture and other photo samples, driving a 24 ft box truck, as well as warehouse/studio organization and maintenance duties. Goals and Objectives: Safety: Responsibly manage product on and off set, and within the photo studio warehouse, with safety as the highest priority in performing your duties. Quality: Handle product with care and attention at all times. Efficiency: While maintaining safety and quality, operate in the most efficient manner possible, knowing that our timelines are often impacted by sunlight, weather, location and other contractual deadlines. Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and organization and become a subject matter expert in your area of assignment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with assembling and breaking down set walls and floors Be responsible for moving product on and off set, as well as pulling product for staging purposes Assemble furniture and other photo samples, including preparing and cleaning samples to ensure they are photo ready Organize the photo studio warehouse for orderliness at all times, so that product and supplies are easily found Maintain an exceptional work area: clean, orderly, with appropriate supplies on hand to work efficiently May be asked to drive a 24 ft box truck to pick up and drop off product, art and other supplies May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed, such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, breaking down boxes and garbage removal Physical Demands: The individual is frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The individual is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Knowledge of grip equipment and experience in rigging; Carpentry skills are a plus; Ability to take direction from multiple resources and knowing how and when to prioritize is key; Written and verbal English language skills required Compensation: $30-40/hr is the anticipated pay range for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the range for this role. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills. This is a seasonal, temporary position. Schedule and duration will vary upon business needs.
