We are seeking a highly qualified
Project Safety Coordinator (PSC)
to oversee and manage safety protocols across our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building construction safety and construction safety process management. This role requires strong practical knowledge, ongoing education, and a commitment to safety in high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and oversee safety protocols on construction sites. Manage and monitor construction safety processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations. Provide ongoing safety training and ensure all personnel are properly trained. Lead safety meetings and collaborate with project teams to promote a culture of safety. Maintain current certifications and continuing education records for all safety-related topics.
Qualifications: Minimum of seven (7) years solely dedicated to building construction safety. At least five (5) years of experience managing construction safety processes. Candidates with a four (4) year degree in a safety-related discipline must have at least three (3) years of field experience in construction safety. Documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolding, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, electrical safety, incident investigation, and other safety-related areas. All training must be at least four (4) hours in duration per topic and dated within five (5) years of the contract execution. Possession of OSHA 500 (Train the Trainer in Occupational Safety and Health for Construction Industry) or OSHA 502 (Update for the Construction Industry Outreach Trainer) certifications. OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Outreach or OSHA 510 certificates are not acceptable for this requirement. Specialized training in Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED, with certifications dated within the last two (2) years.
