Job Description
Our client is looking for a talented, customer-obsessed Creative Designer to join our Packaging Team for a 6-month contract. As a Creative Designer, you will work closely with stakeholders including Creative and Brand Design teams to develop artwork templates for packaging. Templates are developed for on-box, in-box, and label assets for packaging. You will then work with Packaging Program Managers on the team to manage the development of production mechanicals through internal and external production design resources.
Responsibilities:

1. Accept creative direction from the brand design team to develop artwork templates across packaging types by balancing available space and customer experience.
2. Consider target audience, cost, and overall product portfolio in templatizing packaging SKU options based on creative direction provided.
3. Ensure templates contain accurate and approved content before production design begins.
4. Receive product renderings, iconography, topology, illustrations, and/or photography from marketing to inform packaging SKU templatization and for use in production mechanicals.
5. Create production mechanicals both independently and through working with external production partners (dependent on asset type and priority).
6. Work in Adobe Software and Esko 3D.
7. Critically evaluate document color characteristics and properties.
8. Update and close Jira tickets to track and manage work.

REQUIRED SKILLS

1. 4+ years minimum experience in packaging creative design.
2. Strong production design skills.
3. BA/BS in Design or equivalent.
4. Excellent skills in Adobe and Esko software.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
8. Online portfolio of work is required.
9. Production Design and Creative Design experience.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.50.
