3 days week onsite for 1 st 3 months then remote onsite as needed Direct Hire $102,708 - $145,530
plus bonus Successful candidate will develop Video Processing Chain for Computer Vision on embedded systems to enhance the autonomy of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS, UAV), and computer vision and machine learning systems architecture/hardware and integration. Develops FPGA firmware, Ubuntu ARM Linux software, and/or GPU accelerated algorithms. Codes and tests software to support the integration of machine learning and visual tracking into aircraft (such as autopilots, payloads, or other functional components) or other robotic systems. Supports Implementation of machine learning and visual tracking systems and validate designs through a series of designed experiments. Supports video processing development as it applies to autonomy, tracking, UAS operation, object identification, and control systems. Develops software for products using established software development practices & configuration control. Supports transition of development projects to production; Support flight test operations. Supports design reviews as called upon by product design team and the development of system requirements, system test plans, and assist in validation testing. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Minimum 2 - 5 years' relevant engineering experience Experience developing Visual Tracking Software Video Processing Chains Experience with Python, C, C++, and OpenCV Experience Managing Research Program Flight Tests and demonstrations Demonstrated understanding of Visual tracking development for military or commercial applications Demonstrated understanding of Feedback and Controls performance tuning mechanism Embedded ARM Linux software, GPU/ CUDA, Video Pipeline, C++, Python, CV experience Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras Proficiency with Python and basic libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn and pandas Expertise in visualizing and manipulating big datasets Proficiency with OpenCV; Familiarity with Linux Ability to select hardware to run an ML model with the required latency Computational statistics; Mathematical optimization Data mining; Exploratory data analysis; Predictive analytics experience Bonus Skills:
MS/Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering is preferred Research or industrial experience is preferred. Hands-on design/build experience is desired; UAV, R/C aircraft or other lightweight miniature robotic systems Experience with UAV or R/C aircraft or other lightweight miniature robotic systems desired Research or industrial experience in the development of visual tracking desired
