As an AWS Sports Integrated Marketing specialist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing integrated marketing strategies tailored to the sports industry. Leveraging your expertise in both technology and sports marketing, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. This role offers an exciting opportunity to merge the power of AWS solutions with the dynamic world of sports, shaping innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with audiences globally.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Key job responsibilities

Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop comprehensive integrated marketing strategies aligned with AWS business objectives and the unique characteristics of the sports industry.

Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, including concept development, content creation, channel selection, budget management, and performance tracking.

Content Creation: Generate compelling content, including blog posts, social media assets, video content, and experiential initiatives to highlight AWS solutions' value

Partnership Management: Cultivate relationships with sports organizations, leagues, teams, and influencers to drive co-marketing initiatives.

Event Activation: Oversee the planning and execution of AWS-sponsored sports tentpole events, ensuring seamless integration of marketing activities to maximize brand exposure and attendee engagement.

Digital Marketing: Utilize digital marketing channels, including email, social media, search, and display advertising, to reach target audiences effectively and drive traffic to AWS Sports initiatives.

Analytics and Optimization: Monitor campaign performance metrics, conduct data analysis, and derive actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product marketing, sales, and PR to align messaging and ensure consistent brand representation across all marketing touchpoints.

Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies

A day in the life

In this new role, scalable success requires cross-functional collaboration to drive the marketing business rhythm, mechanisms and synergies – unifying all aspects of marketing communications surrounding our partnerships.

As a global team member, you’ll integrate AWS sports partnerships with cross-functional colleagues globally. This includes detail-oriented project management, sharing information, aligning on plans and goals, building joint and bespoke campaigns, and establishing business relationships.

In addition to working with marketers, this candidate will work with engineers, data scientists, sports leagues, teams, and athletes to create multi-channel campaigns to deliver a steady cadence of coverage, conversations, engagement, and awareness.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
