Job Title: Designer II
System One is partnering with one of our clients in Tulsa, OK.
Overview: Join a dynamic team, where you’ll support the design and development of new products, improve existing product lines, and tackle strategic projects and manufacturing engineering issues. Adhere to company standards to drive innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sketches, layouts, 3D models, and 2D drawings for new products, product improvements, or special customer requirements.
Collaborate with engineers during design stages to clarify and communicate ideas, intent, and concepts.
Perform engineering calculations to ensure designs meet specifications and standard practices.
Design and prepare prototype or test model sketches/drawings and assist in outlining and performing tests.
Utilize understanding of company products, their intended use, and design criteria during the design process.
Provide technical assistance to Customer Services, Manufacturing, and subcontract sources, ensuring solutions meet project/product requirements.
Offer technical expertise or actual designs to other departments within the assigned business unit.
Perform engineering-related functions for general or special projects as assigned by the direct manager.
Experience:
Associate Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
3 years of technical experience (e.g., 3D modeling, drafting).
Experience with 3D CAD required (SolidWorks).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in mathematics, including algebra, trigonometry, and strength of materials.
Self-motivated and creative with a strong desire to complete assignments successfully.
Strong Windows and MS Office skills.
Excellent communication skills.
