POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision of the IT&S Manager/Director, the Telecommunications analyst is responsible for programming, deployment and implementing security on all telecommunications avenues. Assists the IT&S Manger/Director with various other projects as needed. Performs telecommunications work involving installation/installing, operating, diagnosing and resolving voice, data, digital, wireless and video telecommunications problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate and/or plan and prepare for telecommunications network or systems equipment Organize and establish operating controls and procedures for voice or data telecommunications network Provide technical expertise in telecommunications system design and modifications and coordinate the installation of office wiring infrastructure including network needs Installs and repairs voice, data, wireless and video communications systems to ensure reliable operation Communicate with contractors and telecom companies used throughout the telecommunications and LAN/WAN network with regard to proper operation, installation and maintenance of lines, data and phone equipment, and associated terminals Receives, records and tracks user service requests and repairs for phone equipment Provides phone and voice mail support tasks and coordinates installation with users and IT&S staff Provides assistance and expertise to network engineering team as needed Maintains required reports, standards and security for the telecom systems Provides as needed support for paging and call systems to ensure continuous availability of telecommunications

Manages systems according to SJMC security policies and standards by: Strictly following the established procedures of the account management process Maintaining and growing knowledge regarding access control, common user issues, troubleshooting, documentation requirements and basic system/application functionality

Demonstrates customer service skills with both internal and external customers Identifies opportunities for waste reduction and department efficiency Works with IT&S team members to assist, demonstrate, implement and train on telecom and data networks Supportive of the compliance program set forth by SJMC and demonstrate this by:

Upholding the Standards of Conduct and SJMC Compliance Program Adheres to and helps to enforce all compliance policies and procedures relevant to his/her area Assures timely compliance education as requested by Compliance and Privacy Officer
