We're looking for a talented content designer and strong design thinker to join our User Experience (UX) team.
Content Design at Cvent
As part of the UX team at Cvent, content designers bring empathy, delight, and a human-centered approach to UX design. We do more than just look at the words. We advocate for our users by collaborating with product designers, researchers, product managers, and more to craft a product narrative that guides users through our products and gets them the information they need when they need it. If you love crafting compelling narratives, solving complex user problems, and making microcopy sound clear and human-we want to talk to you!
In This Role, You Will: • Understand the event management industry and Cvent's business • Learn how content design fits into the larger UX ecosystem, alongside product design, localization, and user research • Learn how to apply design thinking to UX in the context of content design • Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline team with the shared goal of improving the product experience and meeting our users' needs • Understand user problems and how our products solve them with content • Collaborate on projects while also working independently on deliverables • Write conversational microcopy that's inclusive, accessible, and localized for all audiences • Support the maintenance of, and contribute to, our growing set of content guidelines • Participate in workshops and brainstorming sessions • Improve the application through content reviews and user testing • Partner with user researcher to research, analyze, and test content to create text that can be reused throughout the platform
Here's What You Need:
A portfolio that shows off your content design and design thinking skills • Knowledge of human-centered content design principles and techniques • Comfortable working alone and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Superior attention to detail • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with different audiences • Passion for creating a great user experience and improving people's lives through design and technology • Interest in growth, learning, and receiving feedback to improve skills • Eye for grammar and a deep respect for content style, voice and tone, and empathy • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Writing, Communications, Design, or related field • 0-2 years of experience in Content Design, UX Writing, or related field
