FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENT OFFICER EVENTS AND COMMUNICATION

Job Overview: This position is a professional position providing leadership to ensure successful execution of Foundation signature events, including committee leadership, recruitment and securing event sponsors and maintain sponsor relationships. Additional duties may include: developing web, electronic media and print collateral to meet strategic goals, event management in Raiser's Edge, solicitation of in-kind donations, auction coordination, event expense management, vendor negotiation, oversight of third party fundraising requests and leadership of other Foundation events designed to engage and steward donors. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Raiser's Edge and Adobe Photoshop 1-2 years experience Technical Communication Marketing, Event Non Profit Job Responsibilities: Successful execution of Bethesda Foundation Signature Events, measured by net revenue. Facilitates and supports event committees, including cultivation and recruitment of committee members. Participates in and support the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of event sponsors. Provides successful support for events and communication in executing two to three of the following additional duties including, Developing web, electronic media and print collateral to meet strategic goals; Managing in-kind and event auction processes; Providing leadership to smaller Foundation events; Oversight of third party fundraisers; Maintaining event management data in donor database; Negotiating with vendors and managing event related expenses.
