Reporting to the Global Digital Communications Director, the US Digital Communications Director is a critical role for the strategic deployment in the US of the ViiV global digital communications strategy. Please note that this role can be based out of Durham, NC or Philadelphia, PA or NYC. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide relocation assistance at this time. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Strategic counselling and Stakeholder Management. The US Digital Communications Director acts as a digital strategic business partner to the US Communications and External Affairs team, ensuring their priorities are represented in the overall ViiV Digital Communications Strategy. Key factors to succeed in the role are: 1. Ensuring that the US Digital Execution is aligned with the Global Strategy. 2. Provide real-time strategic digital communications advice. 3. Effectively manage stakeholders needs and expectations. A key expectation for this role is to build strong stakeholder relationships, develop strategic plans in consultation with the Comms team as well as ensure delivery. "On the ground" event support. In person support to US Communications events and activations is a key expectation of this role. This includes but is not limited to creating a digital communications plan for the activation in questions, lead on "live" on the ground content capture and manage agency partners involved in the process. Location of events and activations vary, hence travel across the US is necessary. (Approximately once a month or every 6 weeks). Content Strategy & development. Act as content owner for the US workstream working on development with support from agency partners, ensuring ontent is insight and audience driven. Scheduling of US content to the VHC content calendar should happen in alignment and coordination with global digital communications senior manager who is the calendar's gate keeper. Paid media. The US Digital Communications Director leads on US always-on paid strategy and works in partnership with the Global Digital Communications Senior Manager on its execution via agency partners. Also works on budget tracking with Global Digital Communications Director. Accountability. The US Digital Communications Director is a strategic business partner to US Corporate Communications and External Communications Head and workstream leads to ensure their programs, campaign and initiatives include are conceived with digital first mindset. This includes but is not limited to content strategy, content creation, execution of organic and paid campaigns among others. Congress Support. The US Digital Communications Director leads the digital communications strategy and execution of ID Week, and supports from a US perspective additional global medical meetings, where ViiV Healthcare has a presence. Web & Search Optimization: The US Digital Communications Director is responsible to maintain US Website up to date and in alignment with Global Web and SEO Strategy. This includes, partnering with content owners and MOC team to ensure all web projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard, including content approvals. Additionally, acts as the main point of contact for search optimization, managing the relationship with agency partner. Agency and Budget Management: The US Digital Communications Director is expected to manage relationships with agency partners. This is inclusive of project management and execution as well as budget management. Ensuring that company resources are well managed and spent is key for success in this role. The US Digital Communications Director partners with Global Digital Communications Director on managing US Digital Communications Budget. Insights & Analytics: The US Digital Communications Director is expected to lead on monthly metrics analysis and deliver insights and best practices. Incorporating these insights to overall digital communications execution. The US Digital Communications Director is key for alignment and integration of the US LOC to Global Digital Communications Strategy and initiatives. It's critical to ensure the ViiV's US narrative, business, people and values reach and engage with Key audiences. The ideal candidate is strategic thinker with a passion to execute and do in a fast pace and always changing environment. Why You? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor's degree in Marketing OR Communications OR Journalism 8+ years of experience in communications within a corporate, global environment. 5+ years of experience in writing, editing and visual storytelling skills for web and social media. Experience creating on-brand visual content aligned with formats to use on social media channels. Experience managing corporate social media channels and presence, including through platforms such as Sprinklr. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Knowledge and experience in analysing social media metrics and applying digital insights to set targets for and constantly improve content and campaigns. Knowledge and experience in executing paid/sponsored campaigns.
