The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Creative Executive who is passionate about telling engaging and enriching stories for children across multiple platforms. This role leads the creative processes for our biggest brand, CoComelon - see stats below.

The successful candidate will work closely with our network of creators all over the world. Our in-house production teams are based in London and our current third-party animation studios are based in India. This is a demanding and fast-paced role with growth potential that requires curiosity, drive and initiative.

Los Angeles $150,000 - $165,000 Full time, office- based role

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all CCM content from a creative perspective all the way from development to production through to final delivery to YouTube and premium platforms
  • Working with Chief Creative Office, to develop and build out CCM creative strategy, DNA & content opportunities
  • Ideate on show ideas, working with Development teams
  • Identify and assign creative talent to develop and produce content
  • Review and provide notes on scripts, animatics, cuts, voice records and all other steps in the creative process
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (CCM GM, Commercial, Distribution, Platforms) to ensure creative development is aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Maintain flexibility and openness to take on additional projects as necessary or assigned

Requirements
  • 8+ years' experience in Children's Entertainment, Scripted Series and/or Studio/Production experience
  • Experience working across content formats in both short-form and long-form, for narrative and music-based shows.
  • A creative thinker who can juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities and has developed & managed creative teams
  • Successfully overseen creative development and production of children's shows for both digital and traditional platforms
  • Degree in Communications, Creative Writing or Film Studies preferred
  • Broad network of writers, artists and agency contacts in the children's space
  • Solid grasp of film-making language and technique
  • Experience in confidently commenting on animatics, music and effects
  • Experience leading a team on creative storytelling and development
  • Strong understanding of character and story in brand building
  • Ability to interpret data and insights and leverage them in the creative process
  • Good judgement and strong critical thinking skills
  • Proven communication skills; articulate and professional both in written and verbal form
  • Ability to work proactively and independently under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organization and ability to time-manage across multiple deadlines
