T-Mobile for Business (TFB) is searching for a Director, Public Sector Marketing to partner with our sales leaders, product marketing, go-to-market, PR, and brand organizations to design and drive high-impact lift consideration and pipeline generation programs that lead to closed-won bookings. The Director will lead a team aligned to sales, applying data and historical performance to inform quarterly plans & strategies. This key leader will be responsible for managing a comprehensive marketing approach for the US Public Sector market (state, local, education, federal and public safety). The ideal candidate will have expertise building integrated marketing campaigns and guide their activation through account-based marketing, field marketing and event thought leadership, web, content, digital media, and sales engagement playbooks.
T-Mobile for Business (TFB) has bold growth targets and needs a strategic leader to lead and drive the QGP (Quarterly Growth Plan) associated with Public Sector customers across our Business Group marketing ensuring cohesive and effective execution to meet the set LRP (Long Range Plan) growth objectives!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create segment and sub-segment marketing plans to support the annual growth plan and update quarterly to enable market saturation, customer experiences, and reflect customer evolving needs.
  • Develop and implement lead generation initiatives, including but not limited to digital, content marketing, events (industry, in-person executive forums, and virtual), and partnerships that drive demand for key solutions in T-Mobile for Businesses portfolio. Drive the creation of high-quality content tailored to the Public Sector sub-segment industries and decision-making audiences.
  • Partner with product marketing, brand, sales and solution engineering teams with the necessary tools, materials, and resources to effectively communicate value proposition to customers.
  • Develop strategies specific to public sector customers and products taking into account the specific needs of each segment understanding the delivery of public sector products and the future state.
  • Ensure optimized integrated marketing mix to align with commercial market segments.
  • Develop and drive enterprise lead-management processes and effective marketing attribution approaches.
  • Work with other marketing, business, and finance teams to build and execute quarterly and yearly plans including budget management and projection of results.
  • Use enterprise analytics to monitor and optimize program performance, including investment rationalization, based on past performance and results.
  • Work in partnership with sales leaders, including SDR leadership, to enable sellers with account engagement programs leading to opportunity discovery and pipeline generation.

Work Experience:

  • 10 + years experience in US public sector marketing with a $1B+ B2B technology or telecommunications organization.
  • 5+ years people management experience guiding and leading teams.
  • Direct experience with owning marketing for Public Safety, Federal, State & Local, and Education segments.
  • Insights driven marketer who aligns business goals to strategy and has successfully directed and driven field programs, public sector event marketing, digital and web strategy, paid & earned media, campaign planning & management. Proven ability translating customer insights and competitive feedback into action.
  • Experience working with predominant public-sector focused resellers, distributors, and systems integrators designing successful demand-generation campaigns that transform customer needs into meaningful engagements.
  • Experienced leader in strategic customer marketing and influence programs aimed at driving mindshare, loyalty, advocacy, and growth.
  • Consistent track record of developing innovative and disruptive programs that have contributed to and achieved quantifiable metrics such as account and persona based qualified leads, pipeline, and closed business.
  • Hands on experience with predominant sales and marketing systems such as Salesforce, analytics platforms, and ABM platforms such as Demandbase.
  • Experience designing and building field-focused marketing programs across digital, first & third party events, with tech partners, and through partner ecosystem including resellers and GSIs.
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field.

Base Pay Range: $161,900 - $219,100 Corporate Bonus Target: 25%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
