Role Summary

The Art director - Social works with the Anthro Creative Director to develop social first concepts and to direct the look and feel across fashion and home. Projects include developing social first content for seasonal campaigns, product drops, and influencer content.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of social media, photography and how to balance performance and innovation. This candidate requires a forward-thinking mindset, creativity & consumer insights to create content across the business. This cross-functional role is responsible for leveraging Anthropologie's creativity and campaigns to build global moments that elevate the brand. This position has a need for a background in concepting and executing assets across stills and low-fi video (iphone). Photography experience is a must!

Role Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: The Art Director - Social will work with the creative director to concept stills and video content across all social channels. The Art Director will lead bi-weekly brainstorms with the Senior Manager, Social and work closely with the marketing team. This includes developing briefs for the Creative Director and Executive Creative Director's approval prior to shooting.
  • Concept Pre Production: This candidate will be responsible for managing production logistics, from coordinating an employee photo shoot, or locations for influencer content to be captured.
  • Content Capture: The Art Director will act as both photographer and AD on set, directing talent, adjusting color, and outputting selects to deliver to the retouching team. Video experience includes low-fi iphone capture
  • Post Production: This candidate will edit both stills and video, and route for approval to the Creative Director and Executive Creative Director
Role Qualifications

The Art Director - Social should have expertise in the following areas
  • This candidate will need a background in concepting and executing assets across stills and low-fi video (iphone). Photography experience is a must.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • 2+ years experience with social media content creation and strategy in house for a brand
  • Experience managing and running shoots on-set
  • Knowledge of current trends in fashion, lifestyle, and digital marketing
