Job Summary:

First Tube is seeking a Director, Media to lead the strategy, development, activation, and analysis of paid media campaigns for our current and prospective clients. This includes integrated campaigns across the services side of our business, as well as for LiveAMP media suite.

We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the digital and social advertising landscape who is passionate and knowledgeable about the latest digital advertising trends. The ideal candidate has their finger on the pulse of what's driving culture and consumer behavior. The Director, Media will need to be comfortable owning the full paid media planning and activation lifecycle, including leading and developing media RFP responses.

The individual will also be expected to help inform our LiveAMP ad product suite, partnering with other departments to enhance our current ad products and develop new best-in-class ads to amplify cultural moments for brands. The role currently does not include direct reports, however, there will be future opportunities to build out the team, therefore, leadership and management experience is ideal. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is innovative, highly strategic, likes to own paid media end-to-end, and wants to help shape the future of First Tube's media products and services offering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a command of the paid digital and social media advertising space, staying informed on emerging trends, products, and innovation within the industry.
  • Lead media strategy for new business and active clients, leveraging market trends and benchmarks, consumer insights, and cross-channel expertise to develop data-informed paid media strategies.
  • Develop paid media plans, inclusive of recommended channel mix, allocation, audience targeting, KPIs, and more.
  • Lead paid media campaign measurement planning, optimization, and reporting frameworks. Leverage strong paid media analytical expertise to inform campaign optimizations and recommendations with actionable insights.
  • Oversee and drive end-to-end paid media campaign launches, taking full ownership of campaign strategy, development, activation, and analysis.
  • Oversee media buying team, including but not limited to media briefing, campaign QA, collaborating on campaign optimization, campaign troubleshooting, and more.
  • Direct ad buying experience across various ad manager platforms (paid social, DSPs, etc.) managing campaign set-up and buying, with the ability to manage paid media campaigns directly when needed.
  • Inform paid media creative and asset briefing, and share paid media creative best practices to elevate campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Brand Solutions, Product, Creative Services, and more on product innovation, new business, and campaign execution.
  • Contribute to elevating our media practice by refining existing processes and proposing new offerings, partnerships, and more.
  • Partner with the product team to make recommendations and enhancements for the FT Live measurement and analytics platform.
  • Serve as a paid media subject matter expert, staying current on industry trends and products and sharing knowledge with the broader First Tube team and clients.
  • Ability to confidently lead paid media discussions with prospective and existing clients, as well as with our internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary source of expertise for paid media-related strategic counsel or POVs.


Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in paid media planning and buying, with strong expertise in paid digital and social (e.g. TikTok, YouTube, Meta, etc.), programmatic video, and other video channels (e.g. CTV, OTT, digital OOH, etc.), including direct management of ad buys on various platforms.
  • Experience with paid media measurement planning, set-up and analysis. Ability to analyze and synthesize campaign performance data and provide insights to inform optimizations and future recommendations.
  • Strong client management skills with experience communicating with clients of various levels, providing strategic counsel and recommendations on paid media.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional business, strategy, and creative writing skills.
  • Experience in amplifying live moments or broadcast/streamed content is a bonus, as is experience in cultural passion points such as sports, music, fashion, entertainment, etc.

Salary Range
$140,000.00 - $165,000.00

A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
