The Senior Communications Specialist will both develop and implement communications strategies that effectively promote the organization to external and internal audiences. This may include developing or helping to share Berkadia's unique culture both externally and internally, in support of People Team-led employee experience and engagement initiatives, as well as employer brand and talent acquisition goals. This individual will also support individual business units and corporate functions in the leading the development and execution of internal and external communications and content, including press releases, blogs and award submissions. This person will report directly to the Senior Internal Communications Manager and work closely with the PR and Content Marketing Manager on external communications responsibilities.
Internal Communications
Lead the development and execution of internal communications strategies for various departments and business lines within the organization, such as Innovation, Servicing, etc., in support of their key objectives Coordinate the daily operations of internal communications within the organization, including management of audience segments and lists Prepare internal communications regarding company vision and performance, as well as corporate policies, in alignment with broader internal communications strategy Deploy internal messages across several internal channels, including but not limited to email, SharePoint intranet, and other forums, that follow editorial policies and standards Support communications for internal conferences and events targeting the broader employee base, guiding and executing on the content strategy, including agenda and content creation, both written and visual, as well as onsite support Support the development of content for brochures, handbooks, or other communication mediums in support of internal customers and their goals related to employee experience and engagement Regularly assess strategy performance through the reporting of analytics and gathering of qualitative feedback from executive leadership and other internal customers and re-evaluate and pivot strategies as needed External Communications
Write transaction press releases for external distribution and support press release and communication development related to new hires Contribute to the completion of award submissions on behalf of the firm and its employees Write culture and employer brand content and blogs, such as the Be Berkadia Spotlight and Backed by the Best blog series Assist in the external amplification of research and thought leadership products Integrated Communications
Ensure connectivity between internal and external communications efforts and the accuracy and timeliness of messaging across channels Write, review and edit internal and external content and communications Stay informed and up to date on communications trends, technologies, and best practices, and provide insight and actionable recommendations Other duties and responsibilities in support of the Corporate Marketing team as needed or requested We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:
Two to four years prior experience in a similar position Bachelor's degree or equivalent Working knowledge of basic design, and other layout concepts strongly preferred; Experience with email analytics also preferred Experience with Internal Communication software and Microsoft suite specifically SharePoint Intranet strongly preferred Ability to work closely with Executive Leadership We believe People Matter, so we offer benefits that go beyond:
