Top Three Skills:
1) Mid-Level Visual Designer ( 2-5 years experience)
2) Able to take conceptual ideas discussed with the analytics team and mock-up dashboards and other data visualization tools like like, Adobe CC, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, etc.
3) Design experience working with Dashboards
Job Description:
The BI Analytics team is in need of 1-2 UI/UX designers to come in and be able to take conceptual ideas discussed with the analytics team and design mock-ups for their dashboards. They will need to understand the limitations of the existing infrastructure and what can and cannot be done within those limitations. They are looking for someone who can provide guidance and best practices. Does not need to have extensive development experience as the developers will handle that work load.
The are still early on in their process of setting up governance and best practices in the UI/UX space so these resources need to be okay with not being able to do things to industry standards sometimes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prototype complex data products and data visualization using industry standards tools like, Adobe CC, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, InVision, etc. for the BI Analytics team.
• Take creative direction from product managers, executives, SMEs, and other stakeholders.
• Understand the limitations of the existing infrastructure and collaborate with developers on feasibility (what can and cannot be done) of design within those limitations.
• Ability to multitask, utilizing exceptional written and verbal communication skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Manages the consistency of established design patterns/brand identity as well as create new designs to enhance and improve the visual appeal of all materials.
• Ensure dashboards, reports and other visualizations adhere to newly developed brand guidelines.
• Create design standards in a style guide for data visualization to ensure consistency across the various products.
