Key Responsibilities
Client Outreach and Engagement
- Proactive Client Outreach: Regularly reach out to existing clients through email, phone, or direct messaging to share new arrivals, styling opportunities, or upcoming events at the store.
- Building a New Client Base: Use creative strategies to identify and connect with potential clients, bringing them into the world of Idlewild.
- Maintain detailed client profiles, documenting preferences, past purchases, and styling notes to personalize future interactions. We have a spreadsheet that exists that will be used as the CRM.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Idlewild. This will allow for organic connection with potential and existing clients to feel connected to Idlewild and its unique offerings.
Sales and Styling Services
- Build strong relationships through personalized 1 on 1 styling sessions, both in-store and virtually.
- Provide thoughtful, trend-forward recommendations to clients, ensuring they purchase items that make them feel confident and styled.
- Drive sales by upselling and cross-selling complementary items to create complete, cohesive looks.
- Actively seeking opportunities to bring in new clients.
Community Networking and Outreach
- Represent Idlewild at local networking events, such as art exhibitions, galas, and openings, to promote the store and connect with potential clients.
- Play a key role in growing Idlewild’s client base and reinforcing Idlewild's reputation as a high-end, fashion-forward destination in Cincinnati.
In-Store Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers with styling needs, providing exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience so walk-in clients feel welcomed and attended to.
- Ensure the store is tidied, straightened, and visually appealing.
- Support fitting room activities by offering additional suggestions and creating full looks for clients.
- Participate in daily store cleaning and maintenance tasks, straightening racks, including go-backs, wiping down countertops, and taking out trash and recycling.
- Work closely with the Inventory and Fulfillment Specialist and all team members to ensure product availability is correct.
Additional Responsibilities
- Ability and desire to meet with other stylists and directors to asses Quarterly sales goals and ensure they are being met.
- Once we establish that the store/expansion can meet additional sales goals, we will discuss a joint commission for stylists based on hours worked.
- Coordinate private shopping parties and events with directors.
- Supporting and participating in in-store events, including planning, client invitations, and hosting.
- Styling clients for special events and offering personalized recommendations tailored to their needs.
- Come to work with a positive attitude and eagerness to present your personal style in a luxury store setting.
- Attend trainings on new brands and incoming collections. Actively staying up to date on the products in the store and arriving in order to inform styling decisions for clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in high-end retail, personal styling, or client-focused roles. Preferably 3+ years.
- A proactive mindset and confidence in outreach to both existing and potential clients.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and styling techniques to deliver exceptional client experiences.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent work ethic with ability and confidence to take initiative.
- Availability to work some flexible hours, including evenings for events or networking opportunities.
