This is an exciting opportunity to work with a full-service experiential and event production agency in Los Angeles as a Creative Technologist. The client is an established agency delivering design and creative technology services for high profile brands and clients across entertainment, lifestyle, sport and technology.
The Role
The Creative Technologist sits within the Creative technology team and will be responsible for designing, building and implementing a variety of exciting technology driven experiences for events, installations and activations. The Creative Technologist will work with a cross-functional team across software, robotics, engineering and custom fabrication.
Key responsibilities will include:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 + benefits annually, dependent on experience. The salary is based on a range of factors, including relevant experience, skills, knowledge, job-related qualifications, complexity of the role, market considerations, geographic location and region, and budgetary considerations. This is the anticipated base salary component of the total compensation package, which may include additional company benefits such as bonuses, commission, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement.

The Role
The Creative Technologist sits within the Creative technology team and will be responsible for designing, building and implementing a variety of exciting technology driven experiences for events, installations and activations. The Creative Technologist will work with a cross-functional team across software, robotics, engineering and custom fabrication.
Key responsibilities will include:
- End to end development of creative technology elements for events and installations - design, testing, modification, fabrication, through to onsite installation
- Coordinating cross-departmental communications (Creative, Technology, Engineering, Fabrication, Production) including documentation, notes, project plans, etc
- Creating and manage project plans for creative technology projects (including timelines, budgets, vendors, materials, etc)
- Monitoring and improving workflows, systems integration and procedures for the creative technology department
- Designing technical drawings, site plans, and electrical and mechanical schematics as relevant for projects and events
- Evaluating and contacting vendors and external technology suppliers
- Researching and staying current with new technology solutions in experiential and events
- 5+ years experience as an Engineer, Creative Technologist, Fabricator or similar role in the creative technology, engineering or fabrication department of an agency or vendor
- Strong familiarity and interest in creative technology and emerging technology solutions across engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, electronics, installations and software
- Experience in managing and understanding creative technology, design and engineering assets (2D/3D files, architectural drawings, CAD, Rhino, etc)
- Experience managing third party technology vendors (fabrication, development, creative technology, architecture, engineering, design)
- Excellent client facing skills
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technology savvy and able to work with, understand and speak about new and emerging technologies
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate with a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Outstanding computer skills (MS Office, Mac applications)
- Outstanding project management software skills
- Budget management experience
- Local and interstate travel may be required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
