Reviewing PDF documents, correcting errors, reviewing lesson plans, student materials, and slide decks, checking against an existing set of criteria and style guidelines, and correcting all errors found
Complete Description:
This work will involve reviewing Word/Google Docs, PowerPoint/Google Slides, and PDF documents to check for and correct errors in consistency, style, and grammar. MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has developed and owns rights to Investigating History, a history and civics curriculum for grades 5-7.
This employee will be responsible for reviewing lesson plans, student materials, and slide decks, checking them against an existing set of criteria and style guidelines, and correcting all errors found.
Skills required
-Attention to detail
-Ability to meet deadlines
-Clear written communication in English and mastery of standard written English
-Fluency with Microsoft and Google applications especially Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs/Drive
-Prior copy-editing experience preferred
Hours and Duration
This job may take up to 1,500 hours to complete. The employee should be available to work 40hours per week until June 30, 2025.
