The Social Media Manager will work with internal teams and external support to develop and execute social media campaigns and initiatives for the business to achieve desired results. This role will define the overall social media strategy and develop engaging content, reels, and stories that drive engagement on social media channels, including Meta (Instagram, Facebook), TikTok, and others. This is an essential role within the company and requires an individual who is bright, outgoing, analytical, has a good pulse on current trends, and is able to think about the future while keeping up with the details of everyday deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attract new followers/customers, build engagement and affinity, and retain existing followers/customers
- Define the social media strategy that supports the brand portfolio, store network & ecommerce programs
- Develop captivating content that drives engagement with target audiences across prioritized platforms
- Collaborate to test new social and content ideas, continually innovating and optimizing
- Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Create engaging social media content ensuring consistency across all social media channels.
- Curate social media content sharing articles, news, or third-party content that is relevant to our audience.
- Brainstorm social media topics and ideas for editorial calendar planning.
- Work with field Team Members to capture captivating stories and content that can engage a broader audience.
- Act as your own copy editor and review social media content in the process of development.
- Manage social media operations, budgets, and production process with external agencies.
- Track and analyze social media performance, optimize campaigns, and report results to key stakeholders
- Monitor competition and stay up to date on trends to identify opportunities for social media content.
- Develop influencer plan to identify and partner with aligned influencers to drive authenticity and reach
- Identify and test new tools and channels to take advantage of emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure unified brand messaging
- 5-7 years of experience in social media marketing
- 2+ years managing individual contributors, contractors, and/or agencies
- Proficiency in social media campaign management and optimization practices across the large social media platforms, including Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok and YouTube
- Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
