Bidding Restriction: 1 Year

On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at this assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes - Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Develops, shoots, and edits videos and other visual content to all platforms to support the Multimedia team and tell the story of the Company. Responsible for making compelling videos with an understanding and use of all hardware and software.The person in this position will thrive on cross functional teams and will exhibit excellent organization, communication, and project management skills in support live event, video production and editing with an emphasis on quality and accuracy of content and timeliness.This position requires up to 20% traveling within the state of Michigan.

Key Accountabilities

•Shoots and edits all video content as required using a variety of digital video equipment and various industry-standard editing tools.
•Edits, assembles, and distributes final content in required format; ensures technical quality of end product.
•Oversees the security, operation, and maintenance of equipment utilized in shooting and editing.Recommends upgrades and replacements.
•Assists with corporate live events as scheduled (i.e. set up equipment, video switching, camera operation, audio mixing, etc.)
•Maintains and archives production elements according to established department standards and build internal archive library.Manages multiple projects in various stages of production concurrently.
•Maintains a high level of quality in video production.
•Works closely with Design and Digital teams to ensure that video content meets the needs of each project and adheres to established brand standards.
•Learns and internalizes the brand identity and company purpose and use this knowledge to create video assets that resonate with the targeted audience (customers, employees, etc.)
•Maintains current knowledge and creative edge in operation of television, audio, and computer equipment in support of all video production, studio or remote.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum:Bachelor's degree in Film/Television Production, Digital Media Production or a related field.No professional level experience is required; however, previous related experience, preferred.

Prefer Qualifications:

  • Ability to traveling up to 20% within the state of Michigan
  • Ability to lift/carry/equipment set up to 50 lbs


Other Qualifications

•Strong web, video, and multimedia authoring skills and emerging technologies. Understanding of video production procedures on set.
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Audition, Premier, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator..
•Excellent interpersonal, organizational, project management, and communication skills.
•Ability to manage and meet production timelines.
•Ability to make videos and other image-based content for use in all platforms, visually compelling and meet professional standards for composition, focus, lighting and other technical standards.
•Extensive computer use required. Some travel required. Ability to work flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
•Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and passionate about everything related to shooting and editing content.
•Strong combination of creative and technical abilities.
•Ability to set up and use various AV equipment on productions.
*Must have a valid driver's license.
