About the Role
A client is searching for a professional, proficient, collaborative, and creative video producer to provide course design support in creating and editing educational video content by assisting with ideating and executing engaging short-form video content and consulting with curriculum developers from diverse disciplines to understand course goals and the vision for the associated video content.

Responsibilities

Video Production and Editing

• Create video content for the curriculum and instruction team’s lesson materials accessed via the learning management system Brightspace (LMS).

• Collaborate with curriculum developers to develop original, thematic, and appropriate concepts and scripts for video projects for our academic curriculum.

• Input sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and adding voice-over.

• Digitally splice videos and synchronize them into one rough cut.

• Position requires some face-to-face personal interaction with curriculum team members.

• Ensure accessibility of video content (captions, alt text, etc).

• Oversee the quality control of all aspects of production.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and project workflows to ensure projects are delivered on time and quality standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct experience in short-form video production, including technical proficiency in video editing (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) and file management.

• Highly adaptable and solutions-oriented with an ability to solve complex problems when faced with tight deadlines and resource limitations.

• Strong project management skills including prioritization of tasks, delegation to the team, and scheduling of shoots.

• A background in instructional or education video production and working knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMSs) are strongly preferred but not required.

• Contractors must supply and manage their own videography equipment including hardware, software, tools, and cameras.
