Job Description

The UI team is seeking a proficient front end web designer to assist with various UI/UX projects. The successful candidate will be passionate about web design and development; take pride in and ownership of assigned projects; possess a desire to learn new approaches and technology; and be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
The successful candidate will participate in all phases of front end projects including requirements gathering, design, development, usability testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

1. Develop wireframes and high fidelity mockups from requirements.
2. Ensure UI/UX design is in accordance with corporate branding, style guides, design patterns, and other requirements.
3. Help create and maintain UI/UX design patterns, style guides, style tiles, and standards.
4. Help create, maintain, and socialize UI/UX standards.
5. Help identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies regarding UI/UX design.
6. Create and maintain design templates.

Required Skills and Experience

1. 5 years minimum designing web site front ends.
2. Effective ability to conceptualize and communicate UI/UX ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3. Proficiency with design approaches and tools including sketching, wireframing, and high fidelity mockups.
4. Proficiency with Adobe CC applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and others.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
6. Responsive Web Design: working knowledge as it affects the design phase.
7. UI/UX: strong understanding of principles, standards, and best practices.

Additional Skills and Experience (Considered a Big Plus)

1. 8 years minimum developing web site front ends.
2. Proficiency with video editing and production (Adobe Premier, Camtasia).
3. Experience with Balsamiq, Sketch, Axure, InVision, Adobe XD.
4. HTML5 and CSS3: working knowledge or practical experience with coding.
5. jQuery: working knowledge or practical experience with jQuery libraries and interfaces.
6. Responsive Web Design: working knowledge or practical experience with regard to creating/maintaining responsive sites.
7. Experience with Twitter's Bootstrap framework.
8. HTML Email: experience designing responsive HTML emails.
9. Cross-browser compatibility: experience testing with IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and browser developer tools.
10. Web Accessibility: experience integrating WCAG standards in design.
