JOB PURPOSE:
This role is responsible for driving significant growth in the market for both existing and new clients, achieving or exceeding individual and team goals. Execute customer acquisition and retention strategies focused on local advertising customers and associated key segments while providing optimal customer satisfaction.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Identify, develop, and promote advertising business opportunities and products for new and existing clients focused on local advertising customers from the Midco product suite of Midco Sports, digital and insertable networks.
- Achieve and exceed defined sales goals (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.) Have a history of exceeding performance objectives.
- Manage an assigned portfolio of leads, prospects, opportunities, and clients in the local territory.
- Build strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential as well as existing customers, within the department, and within the community.
- Maintain current and accurate documentation for sales database, reporting, and forecasting within an average of five percent of quarterly revenue finish.
- Utilize CRM and other required reporting systems and tools to communicate pipeline and forecast.
- Demonstrate capabilities to conduct business needs analysis and collaborate with others involved to find solutions.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations.
- Prepare accurate customer estimates and contracts.
- Meet KPIs on a consistent basis and at an appropriate career path level. (i.e. maintain 18+ active clients per month)
- Design advertising campaigns and assist with production when needed.
- Think and act in ways that put Midco customers first giving them seamless media mix options and make them promoters of Midco products and services.
- Engage in training resources, including internal and external opportunities.
- Work with clients to collect outstanding balance.
- Seek out and engage within industry and community associations, representing Midco in a positive and professional manner.
- Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco's "Use of Vehicle for Company Business" policy.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
- Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco's Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers.
- Adhere to Midco's privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.
- Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Advertising Account Executive:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Previous sales experience preferred.
Advanced Advertising Account Executive:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Three to five years sales experience required.
Senior Advertising Account Executive:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 5 years of previous sales experience required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 30 lbs.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
- May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
- In-person visits to a customer's place of business are normal in the performance of this job. Specific abilities required include accessing a customer's place of business by stairs or elevator, operating doors or other entrances, navigating hallways and buildings, etc., and adapting successfully to a constantly changing environment.
