As they continue to grow, they seek a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team and manage the financial aspects of the agency. Position Overview:
The bookkeeper will be critical in maintaining the agency's financial health. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in various administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Invoicing and Payments: Prepare and send client invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and follow up on overdue payments.
- Expense Tracking: Track and categorize expenses, ensuring accuracy in reporting and budget adherence.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.
- Payroll Processing: Assist with payroll preparation, ensuring timely and accurate employee payment.
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Budget Management: Work with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations as needed.
- Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing for audits and work with external auditors as required.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and maintaining financial records.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Advantage Solutions, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software. Experience with agency management software is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
