Description Amazon Advertising seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Global Video Advertising team, focused on Live Sports and Local. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will build scalable finance processes, analytical frameworks and demonstrate thought leadership to maximize monetization of our scaling Sports and Local advertising businesses. You will apply both business and analytical acumen in a fast-paced, ambiguous and innovative environment. A successful candidate will be comfortable using analytical tools to extract metrics, have the ability to manage tight deadlines, and achieve effective results in a dynamic environment. They demonstrate a passion for the sports and advertising industries and a desire to be on the forefront of its evolution. They are a self-starter who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail. This role will require building and inspecting various datasets to provide Sales and Finance leaders with clear and summarized visibility into revenue and operational performance. Additionally, this role will produce in-depth analysis on nuanced areas of focus, such as sports rights bid models and regional sales efforts. Key job responsibilities • Uphold and enforce an environment of strong financial controllership • Help create, prepare, and present yearly targets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly/weekly financial reports for Live Sports & Local Sales • Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations. • Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews Basic Qualifications 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis Familiarity with the Domestic (US) and Global Sports Industry Preferred Qualifications MBA, or CPA 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) Experience working in the Sports industry (Media partner, league office, etc.). Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
