The Miami HEAT and Kaseya Center Arena is looking for an experienced audio engineer to assist with the day-to-day and event operation, maintenance, and repairs of the arena's audio equipment and infrastructure systems. The Sound Technician should have a strong background in live sound mixing and digital and analog audio distribution systems, including signal path distribution and routing, equipment setup, and regular maintenance procedures. The Sound Technician will be working on a broad range of events from basketball games to major concerts to corporate events, specialty activations, and press conferences.

Experience
- 4 to 5 years experience as a live sound technician
- Technical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g. feedback equalization, patching, routing, digital plugins)
- Experience with live event sound production including mixing, hard-wired and wireless microphone setup, and PA system operation
- Experience with audio signal distribution and mixing systems
- Experience and knowledge in audio over IP, Dante protocols, and software.
- Fluent in Clear-Com, Yamaha, Presonus, Shure, Lake Controller, Dante
- Experience with sound editing and recording equipment.
- Installation experience with audio and video equipment is a plus
- Understanding of acoustics and sound transmission
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical wiring and flow
- Programming skills preferred
- Good Customer Service Skills are essential
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Creative thinking and attention to detail
- A quick study of the tasks presented
- Able to prioritize tasks and needs that arise
- Troubleshooting in a stressful environment when necessary
- A team player with excellent communication skills
- Professionalism regarding working with entities from internal departments, service providers, and show personnel
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate
- A high school diploma or degree in audio/sound engineering or a related field is a plus, but it is not necessary with sufficient real-world experience.
