Full job description

The Audio Engineer will oversee technical for live event services at our live studio. This role will advise the operation, setup, teardown, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues with AV technologies. The Audio Engineer will advise the application of consultative services. The standards set for the consultative services will leverage their experience to create improvements on the utilization of multimedia hardware and software to ensure best-in-class AV requirements are met for planning, execution, and follow-up of live events

Qualifications
  • Experience working in one or more of the following fields: information technology, management, customer service, higher education, event production, hospitality management, or a related field. (Required)
  • Experience working in one or more of the following fields: AV support, computer science, computer information systems or a related field. (Required)
  • Extensive experience supporting audiovisual (AV) technologies in a live production environment including audio mixers, cameras, lighting, and staging. (Required)
  • Experience providing technical customer support in a fast-paced, white-glove operational environment. (Required)
  • Experience with customer issue ticketing systems. (Required)
  • Proven experience with setup, teardown, and maintenance of audiovisual technologies in a professional customer-centric environment. (Required)
  • Advanced understanding of media production methods and equipment and ability to use this information to troubleshoot the most complex systems. (Required)
  • Advanced understanding of production processes including network-based media distribution solutions, and audio, video, lighting, and stage production technologies. (Required)
  • High degree of knowledge of computer, media, and networking technology. (Required)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate ideas clearly. (Required)
  • Able to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members and customers. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills and is able to prioritize and delegate urgent project needs using project management practices. (Required)
  • Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills. Able to ask questions, gather information, and make decisions with integrity. Resolves escalated issues when applicable. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
  • Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following fields: information technology, computer science, public administration, business administration, communications, or equivalent combination of experience/training. (Preferred)
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) (Preferred)
  • Dante, AVB, Crestron NVX, or Other Networked AV Certification (Preferred)
Special Conditions for Employment
The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 - $40 per hour; salary is dependent upon the skills and experience of the selected finalist.
