Work Direction: The Audio Engineer works under the direction of the Technical Director and the general supervision of the Director of MultiMedia Communications.
Basic Function: The Audio Engineer is responsible for operating and maintaining all audio equipment used for the amplification and enhancement of all worship services and activities at Trinity United Church of Christ.
- Maintains and operates all audio equipment and duplicators.
- Produces broadcasts and podcasts for distribution to radio stations.
- Produces voiceovers and other audio elements for television and in-house projects.
- Trains ministry partners in the use of all audio equipment and procedures and monitors the use of all equipment.
- Produces all audio reproduction material developed from worship services and activities held at TUCC.
Department Support:
- Available to assist Technical Director or Director of MultiMedia Communications whenever necessary.
Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: This position requires a person with experience and training in the area of audio technology and sound engineering. Prior courses in math and electronics are helpful. A technical or college degree is beneficial. Extensive experience and training in audio technology and sound engineering is required.
Work Schedule: The Audio Engineer shall generally work forty (40) hours each week in accordance with a schedule personally arranged and mutually agreed upon with the Production Technical Director.

Working Conditions: Technicians must have manual dexterity and an aptitude for working with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and equipment. This position works in a clean, well-lighted area and is generally not susceptible to job hazards; however, lifting, bending, and stooping may occur on an unusual basis as it relates to the setup and breakdown of television, radio, and/or other broadcast equipment. Must be able to lift 75 lbs and must be willing to work in all aspects of production.
