Responsibilities
•Installation and Setup: Install and configure audio and video equipment, including speakers, projectors, screens, and control systems, ensuring proper functionality and alignment with client specifications.
•Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain optimal performance.
•Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with the final installation. Provide clear explanations of system operation and maintenance.
•System Integration: Integrate AV equipment with existing systems and networks, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and management.
•Compliance and Safety: Adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer guidelines during installations and service calls. Ensure all work is performed to the highest safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
•High School Diploma or GED: Basic educational requirement.
•Technical Training or Associate's Degree: Preferred in fields related to electronics, audiovisual technology, or a related area.
Industry Certifications: Relevant certifications such as:
•CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association)
•AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association)
•BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International)
•Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
Experience:
•Previous Experience: Hands-on experience in AV installation or a related field, such as electronics or IT support, is often preferred.
•On-the-Job Training: Practical experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Technical Skills:
•Knowledge of AV Equipment: Familiarity with various audio and video equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, control systems, and networked AV solutions.
•Wiring and Cabling: Proficiency in running and terminating cables, understanding signal flow, and ensuring proper connections.
