An employer in Houston, TX is seeking a AV Service Technician to join their Service team. The AV Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance/ troubleshooting & installation of commercial and professional audio visual equipment at various sites. This position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, and clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.

Required Skills & Experience
-- 10 years of experience installing & troubleshooting commercial (Oil & Gas/ Energy/ Hospitality/ Higher Ed/ High End Facilities) AV systems during service calls.
-5+ years of experience being a Lead AV Technician.
-Familiar with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems.
-Ability to commission & load Extron/ Creston/ BiAMP/ AMX code.
-Experience with "rapid deployment & set up" of projects while working independently.
-Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality.
-High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping.
-Must be okay with everyday travel in the Houston area & occasionally College Station in a provided company vehicle.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
-Network cabling is a plus.
-CTS or Manufactures certifications are a plus.
-Previous Lead AV Service Experience.
