Summary
The Audio-Visual / IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all audio-visual and IT elements necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Truth Traveler attraction, ensuring that the preparation, presentation, and maintenance of equipment meet our high standards. This role requires expertise in managing audio/visual systems, show control, and IT infrastructure, with a focus on delivering seamless guest experiences. Additionally, the Supervisor will manage equipment support, coordinate maintenance schedules, and collaborate with internal departments and service providers for ongoing technical improvements.
The Supervisor works alongside the General Manager to ensure the safe and efficient operation of technical attractions, including the VR experience and the Planetarium, enhancing the overall guest journey in an engaging and impactful way.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. Responsibilities

- Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
- Manage all installed audio/visual systems, including show control, projection, sound, and lighting systems, ensuring optimal performance and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the General Manager, AV, and IT teams to proactively prevent and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair A/V equipment, including VR headsets, projectors, sound systems, and show control components.
- Create and update SOPs for the maintenance and operation of all A/V and IT systems, seeking continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and service providers to schedule preventative maintenance and repair services under service agreements.
- Document maintenance and support activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring readiness for repairs or replacements.
- Provide end-user technical support for hardware, software, and A/V systems.
- Assist with training staff on the use of A/V technology and IT systems, including point-of-sale (POS) and operational software.
- Oversee system upgrades, firmware updates, and software patches for all A/V and IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues related to A/V and IT systems, collaborating with Infrastructure staff for advanced support.
- Ensure safe and effective operation of technical systems, coordinating closely with the General Manager and Maintenance team.
- Utilize a ticketing system to log, track, and prioritize support requests.
- Actively participate in creating a work environment that fosters spiritual growth and effective communication between staff and management.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Demonstrated expertise in A/V system installation, support, and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of show control systems, such as Medialon, Alcorn McBride, or Crestron, is a plus.
- Familiarity with service and maintenance agreements for technical equipment.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications are a plus.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Cisco, Juniper, and Ubiquiti systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to high guest satisfaction levels.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in business/management, audio/visual technology, or IT-related fields preferred.
- 2-4 years of leadership/management experience in A/V, IT, or related technical roles.
- Experience with A/V technology, including VR systems, show control, projection mapping, and live sound.
