We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a team of approximately 450 people. Our products are sold through TV (Cable, satellite, Telco's and OTA's), our website, OTT, marketplaces, and social media.

We are the US retailing unit and subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL)- a publicly listed company in India. The other retailing units of VGL Group are in the UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). VGL Group is a vertical business, having its own manufacturing and sourcing units in India, China, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Our service to the community is run through our Your Purchase Feeds... program under which each retailing unit donates one nutritious meal to a school-going child in India, the US, the UK, and the Germany for each item sold through all its platforms. Your Purchase Feeds... has current run rate of over 54,000 meals per school day and has provided over 50 million meals to kids in need in US, UK and India until now. Our mission statement embraces the ambitious goal of distributing one million meals each school day to children in need by 2040. Senior Sales Manager - Broadcast

As Shop LC's Senior Sales Manager - Broadcast you will lead the on-air host team to drive sales and customer engagement. Responsibilities include recruiting and training hosts, managing outbound sales, and achieving sales targets. The role involves close collaboration with senior leadership to optimize live TV sales, overseeing sales performance on assigned days, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The Senior Sales Manager - Broadcast will report directly to the Vice President - Commercial Operations.

The following are the primary job responsibilities for the role:

  • Drive the ongoing recruiting, training, and execution of the on-air host team in accordance with business requirements and in consultation with senior leadership.
  • Continuous training and feedback to all hosts to elevate the quality of presentations on live TV and on meeting the customer requirements.
  • Promote the organization and products on live TV as well as other channels.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on any changes to live TV to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Take the lead on set days (three days in a week) for complete oversight of sales goals on TV.
  • Ensure set targets are met for those days through proper coordination with all relevant departments.
  • Responsible for meeting monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Handle non-routine situations that may require immediate adaptation of response or extensive research to resolve.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Prioritize effectively, possessing a keen sense of urgency.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by the manager.
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Delivery of timely one-to-one (1 to 1's) and preparing and delivering mid-year and year-end performance evaluations.
  • Promote professional and personal development of individual team members by utilizing computerized and other systems for tracking service, quality, setting productivity goals, training and coaching interventions and career opportunity programs, and for researching information and troubleshooting.
  • Take proactive steps to manage employees' attendance in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure all team members have access to, understand and are kept current on company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate changes in staffing schedules and overtime requirements, if applicable, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Provide ongoing management and coaching to hosts and personal shoppers.
In order to perform this role, we are looking for someone with
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 8+ Years in sales management, preferably in broadcast, live TV environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching and developing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals, including outbound sales performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both on-air and off-air, with the ability to engage and build relationships with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and sales closing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other sales tracking tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.


Physical Requirements

  1. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
  2. Moving around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  3. Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  4. Frequently lift 20-50lbs and occasionally lift 50 to 70 pounds.
  5. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
