Come join the Photos team to do your best work on exciting and groundbreaking projects that will surprise and delight our users. Apple’s Photos Edit team is looking for a talented, enthusiastic UI software engineer to join an expanding team focused on the next generation of image and video editing features in the Photos ecosystem. These features touch the lives of millions of customers and we work closely with design, computer vision, and machine learning technologies to build something great.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven programming fundamentals and knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Have built projects using Objective-C or Swift and experience with iOS and macOS SDKs
  • Good sense of UI design and a passion to focus on every detail, large and small
  • Excels at solving and debugging hard problems

Key Qualifications

  • We are looking for an engineer who is thorough in their art, understands performance bottlenecks, and knows how to write high-quality code.
  • Experience in API design and maintenance
  • Experience in crafting custom UI components
  • Enjoys working with, learning from, and mentoring teammates from different disciplines and backgrounds

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
