Job Summary
Responsible for the development and coordination of the training on best practices to El Paso Community College (EPCC) employees in communicating data results and assisting users in creating data presentations.
Essential Functions
Coordinate, plan, design, and schedule the training for EPCC employees on best practices for communicating data findings based on the audience and type of data, such as results in writing (e.g., grant reports, award applications), visually (e.g., charts, graphs), and orally (e.g., testimonials, student stories).
Provide support to EPCC employees and departments/Divisions in creating data presentations or data components of reports, and other methods of effectively communicating data results.
Review and offer feedback to EPCC employees regarding data on presentations they have created. Generate and conduct presentations. Create and maintain accurate record-keeping and project documentation.
Respond to internal and external requests for information on data research and reports, and analyze data by emails, telephone calls, and in-person requests.
Provide work direction and assignments to assigned staff.
Assist in creating data communications such as reports and presentations, etc. Responsible for monitoring the budget to ensure efficient operation and expenditures stay within budget limitations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
NOTE: A copy of the transcript reflecting this required education MUST be submitted for consideration and reflect completed coursework and degrees conferred. The candidate must be fully qualified for the position at the time of application.
2. Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics and how to discuss data from each.
3. Strong organizational skills and evidence of effective communication across a variety of audiences.
4. Working knowledge of creating written and visual representations of data for a variety of audiences, including discussing these representations to stakeholders.
5. Ability to effectively deliver public presentations and to effectively present training and instruction.
6. Ability to review and recommend budgets.
7. Ability to analyze data.
8. Ability to lead and manage personnel.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Special Conditions:
