WilliamsSonoma, Inc. is the premier specialty, multi-channel retailer of home furnishings and gourmet cookware in the United States. The Creative Team at Williams Sonoma is made up of designers, art directors, writers, social media experts, content creators and visual merchandisers who bring the Williams Sonoma brand to life across all channels and engage with our customers at every touch point. Within that, the Content Team manages organic social, video, editorial, and copy for catalog and website-that's where you come in.
About the Role
You will support the Williams Sonoma content team in executing the social media strategy across all Williams Sonoma channels, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. This includes managing and uploading creative assets and captions, scheduling posts across platforms, and drafting post captions. You will also support the team with research, project management, content planning and social media video production. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves food, content creation, and staying ahead of social media trends!
Responsibilities

- Content Research, Planning, and Reporting
- Content Production
- Assist with on-set video production for social media-in the test kitchen, in store, and sometimes in-studio.
- Assist with post-production video editing
- Help draft social media post captions
- Account Management
- Manage content posting and scheduling on social channels, including uploading approved assets and copy, tagging products, and adding labels for analytics
- Upload video to Vimeo and YouTube and share links with internal teams
- Assist video manager on YouTube tagging and SEO
- Product page video support
- Become the in-house expert on our social media management platform and continually look for ways to optimize processes and improve reporting accuracy
- Monitor engagement across social channels, find UGC, and identify opportunities for community interaction
- Conduct competitive reviews and identify areas of opportunity for Williams Sonoma social media content and community engagement
- Develop and distribute a weekly industry news roundup
- Participate in content brainstorms and brief development for web and social media
- Contribute to lo-fi video pre-pro planning, including drafting scripts, requesting product, and confirming tech setup
- Assist in identifying social media content creators for collaborations
- Help pull content performance data and develop insights
- Manage file storage and organization within Sharepoint and Frame.io
- Keep shared tracking spreadsheets up-to-date
- Capture takeaways in meeting agendas and turn action items into Basecamp tasks, following up with team members as needed
- Liaise with the paid social team on post boosting requests
- Create and help populate decks for partner and vendor presentations, working cross-functionally with relevant teams to input and format information
Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in social media marketing, media, communications, journalism or related field
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience managing social media channels at a brand or agency
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience or interest in developing social-first video content for TikTok and Instagram
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Passion for recipe and cooking content
- Excitement to learn about and test new social media features
- This role requires being onsite in the Van Ness office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00 hourly. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
