The Communications & Marketing (C&M) team promotes DCWP's work through a variety of communications channels, including press; digital channels (e.g., website, social media networks, email marketing); collaborations with other government agencies, elected officials, and community and advocacy groups; and more. C&M writes, designs, and produces Agency's marketing materials and public-facing forms, correspondences, checklists, and other literature to educate and engage with external stakeholders. C&M ensures DCWP's brand and content are accessible and available in multiple languages to reach larger audiences.

C&M is seeking a Content Manager to write content to inform and connect with various communities to ensure eligible New Yorkers are taking advantage of City's free resources and services. The Content Manager's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Developing and maintaining relationships with government agencies, industry and community stakeholders, and members of the public to generate content for agency materials, including website, educational tips for specific populations, 311 customer support scripts, and e-newsletters.
-Maintaining DCWP's online public profile to ensure information is current and accurate including on its websites and cross agency collaboration projects such as the City's one-stop-shop portal, MyCity.
-Coordinating with subject matter experts and relevant stakeholders to draft responses to public inquiries.
-Attending and recording community events and public meetings to collect public feedback and create audience-tailored content.
-Collaborating with other DCWP divisions to ensure public facing materials are current and align with agency's strategic goals.
-Providing administrative support and assistance in special or ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
