POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Manager, Multimedia Content

Department: Communications

Reports to: Director, Content and Editor in Chief, Contingencies

Summary: The Multimedia Content Manager supports the communications team with innovative use of video and audio content to promote forthcoming events and recap recent events on social and in our various publications. A successful candidate will have experience in developing multimedia content for social media and other digital campaigns that can be leveraged in the Academy’s marketing communications and outreach initiatives to engage audiences and highlight Academy materials, events, and other key milestones.

Job Description/Duties

  • Create visual content to cover and promote Academy publications, events, key milestones, and other activities on our official digital platforms, including social, web, and e-publications.
  • Develop videos, whiteboards, animations, and other content.
  • Pitch and produce visual content that broadens general understanding of complex, technical information from reports.
  • Work closely with the Creative Lead/Manager to achieve brand consistency across all platforms, optimizing images for the website and in our newsletters.
  • Develop infographics or other explainer content for social media.
  • Work closely with team members to manage and produce podcast interviews, developing audio clips for promotion.
  • Develop and execute strategies to re-purpose the Academy’s video, audio, and e-learning content for promotion on all social channels.
  • Work within the Communications team to help grow the Academy’s followers on key channels and evaluate new and existing social platforms for the Academy’s presence.
  • Support the department with ongoing duties such as weekly reports and content calendars. Provide support for internal communications as necessary.
  • Monitor and track the online presence of collegial organizations, peers and other stakeholders, and provide a regular cadence of reporting to internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate monthly analytics reports and flag trends or other highlights for the Marketing and Communications Senior Director.
  • Support livestreaming efforts, as needed.
  • Work with other members of the team on the content calendar and identify opportunities for visual content, including more interactive content around our bimonthly magazine Contingencies and our other publications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Necessary:

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.), and other creative software preferred.
  • Experience of social and digital analytics and an ability to propose actionable steps to increase engagement and content performance.
  • Working knowledge of how to shoot/direct/edit content in office or on location; and be willing to initiate learning of technical skills with the support of other team members.
  • Have hands-on experience with video production process using mobile devices or providing oversight to video and media production vendors.

Education and Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least five years previous work experience. Some college credits are preferred, especially in a related subject.

Salary Range: $96,000 to 105,000.
