The USC School of Architecture is seeking a Creative Content Manager who will be responsible for the planning and creating of multimedia and digital content projects. The Creative Content Manager will bring expertise in current online and media content communications platforms, including websites and other technologies; art and graphic design experience; media content and production skills, in addition to maintenance of all websites and digital media platforms.

The Creative Content Manager is responsible for the website content strategy, maintaining the school's websites and supporting all of its digital communications and multimedia platforms. The position will ensure that the school's website is continually updated, managing the collection of content and creating content.

The Creative Content Manager will work with the Communications & Marketing team to plan, strategize and prioritize the creation of content, messaging, design and digital campaigns to promote the school. It is an exciting time to join the school as we complete a school-wide strategic planning effort - including a new website - and initiate new strategic initiatives.

Job Accountabilities

•Responsible for the development, production and delivery of narrative, complex multimedia and creative content.

•Plans, designs, and coordinates content creation activities within prescribed deadlines.

•Manages the pipeline of multimedia content creation and uploading to website and other communications platforms.

•Consults with faculty and staff to design, develop and implement webpages and interactive information delivery systems. Advises personnel and/or departments on the proper production and design technique specific to website development.

•Maintains and modifies the school or department website including content, graphical and multimedia displays and communications. Gathers feedback for website improvement and enhancement.

•Tests, maintains and ensures functionality of links. Monitors website for consistency, cross-referencing and compliance with university standards for website content and development.

•Conducts electronic marketing of services and information. May disseminate information to various web search engines.

•Develops systems and procedures to track, analyze and report on website activity. Knowledge of Google analytics and tracking. Researches, gathers, organizes and summarizes data for reports. Analyzes data for trends or conclusions and presents results.

•Coordinates the use of and response to website email. Corresponds with senders or refers email to appropriate individuals. Maintains records and develops reports on website email activity.

•Designs new website pages and website content to maximize accessibility, usability and effectiveness. May utilize search engines to maximize user's ability to search site content.

•May be involved in the selection of web hosting providers and/or the overall design of the web infrastructure.

•Responsible for videotaping school lecture series and other school events as needed. Conducts post-production and uploads videos to school's media platforms.

•Occasional evening/weekend work is required.

Knowledge and Functional Skills

•Thorough knowledge of video and audio production procedures, practices, techniques, equipment and terminology.

•Knowledge of digital video and audio capture, file compression, lighting, and post-production equipment and software.

•Strong, demonstrated knowledge of storytelling techniques and narrative design.

•Demonstrated competence in all areas of digital content production.

•Experience in digital content creation, delivery and user engagement on multiple digital platforms, including managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

•Experience in interactive content development and implementation.

•Website full stack management, both front and back-end knowledge.

•Knowledge of website user experience, website analytics and traffic metric.

•Knowledge of how to create and run digital ad campaigns.

•Knowledge of NodeJS, ExpressJS, Angular and Google Firebase. Knowledge of university computing environments. Experience with interfacing external applications to information servers. Knowledge and experience with web scripting and programming languages, graphical operating systems, open source technologies as well as online services and secure transactions.

The hourly rate range for this position is $38.37 - $41.65 . - Bachelor's degree
- Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Experience:
- 2 years

Minimum Field of Expertise:
- Experience in Web page design, Web site management and Web graphic design.
- Knowledge of Web programming techniques and protocols.
- Knowledge of multiple operating systems.
